What to Expect

1. Tarlington Training Inc. is a professional acting studio that offers classes and workshops to working and aspiring young actors. We provide a place where actors can continue their artistic growth while developing the skills necessary to work on stage and screen.
2. Our instructors are expert, experienced professionals, fully-trained in the craft of acting and skilled in working with youth, teens and adult actors. We are committed to developing Canadian talent for the film and television industry and also to developing young people’s confidence and creative skills.
3.We are student-centered and believe in honesty, professionalism and commitment.

Tarlington Training provides industry standard training for professional actors.  We expect you to conduct yourself at all times as a professional and we will treat you as a professional.  This means:

  • Classes start on time and you should always be 5 minutes early.
  • You call us if you are going to be late or will not be here.
  • You come prepared to do the work that has been assigned you from last class.
  • You wear appropriate rehearsal clothes that you can move  in.
  • You wear your hair so we can see ALL of your face on camera.
  • You are polite and respectful of the Tarlington staff AND your fellow actors.
  • You bring any materials you need for the class e.g. pens, pencils, binders, sides etc.
  • Expect to receive honest feedback and criticism of your work.  Expect your instructors to challenge and make demands of you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (Payment and Financial Information)

  • Full payment is due upon registration. We accept VISA and MasterCard payments by phone or in person. Interac payments are only available in person.
  • If a program is cancelled by Tarlington Training Inc., you will receive a full refund.
  • There are no refunds after the first session (unless cancelled by Tarlington Training Inc.).
  • If you need to cancel your registration and it is more than five business days before the beginning of your program, your fee will be reimbursed, less a $100.00 administrative fee. There are no refunds if cancelling within five business days.
  • For long term programs the deposit is a non-refundable deposit. If we offer a spot to you, it often means another actor misses out.
  • There is a $25.00 administrative charge for all NSF cheques.
  • Private coaching is by appointment only. We require 24 hours notice of cancellation.
  • Tarlington Training Inc. is closed on all public holidays.
