50 young actors are finishing a year of hard work at Tarlington Training. We’re all very excited about this years show. Invitations have been sent out to Agents and other industry professionals who’ll be there on the night, along with the proud families of the actors themselves.

Each year Tarlington Training offers a limited number of places in our year long professional training programs. Entry to these programs is strictly via Audition or invitation. So if you’re ready to commit to a year of excellent training and to appear on stage live in the 2013 SHOWCASE! At least one round of auditions will be held each month, even so, places are limited, so book your slot now!

 SHOWCASE 2013 Program

Age: 9-18 years – Intermediate skill level/experience.

FIRST ROUND AUDITIONS: JUNE 8th 1pm-3pm OR JUNE 9th 1pm-3pm

This Audition is run as a class. Participants working with instructors will need to demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of acting. Improvisation, cold read, and a willingness to work hard with others on the day. In

• This audition usual takes one and a half hours.
• Actors parents will need to attend the first ten minutes of the audition
• A headshot and resume (if you have one) is required.
• Places are offered based on audition performance and we regret we cannot take all actors who audition each year.
•  No prior preparation is required.
• Actors who have previously completed a showcase program may have the audition requirement waived.

ADVANCED SHOWCASE Program

Age: 9-18 years       – Advanced skill level/experience.

Focusing on the production of a short film to be shown at SHOWCASE 2013. The ADVANCED SHOWCASE course broadens the actors knowledge of acting on camera technique and introduces them to the myriad of other functions and roles on a film set. In the conception, writing and filming of the short film actors will gain an inside look at just what it takes to make even a short film!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

• This program has no audition requirement. Completion of the SHOWCASE program or invitation from an instructor is a pre-requiset for entry to this course.
• Spaces in this program are very limited.

MASTERS Program

The JUNIOR MASTERS (12-15) and SENIOR MASTERS (16-19).   – Advanced/Professional Skill Level/Experience.

The MASTERS PROGRAM is our top level training program for young actors at Tarlington. It requires advanced knowledge and skill and is aimed at young working actors who are ready for more challenging work. The demands in this course are very high.

Audition Requirements: 1x Dramatic Monologue, 1x Comedic Monologue, 1x Song to be performed live before audition panel. Materials will be sent to you when you book your audition date and time.

FIRST ROUND DATES: JUNE 10th from 4:30pm please call or email to book a time.

• This audition will take 15 minutes.
• Actors parents must attend.

• Actors who have previously completed the program and wish to apply again for entry may have the audition requirement waived.

This Spring here at Tarlington we’re running a very special week long training intensive for Advanced Very Young Actors. Catering to performers aged 5 – 9, this 5 day session will focus of introducing young actors to working on Camera. Using games and exercises, participants will focus on on-camera technique, imagination, expressing emotions realistically, working with other actors and directors, taking direction and performing in front of an audience. Through out the week actors will work with their instructor to create a short film in only one week! The best way to learn is through doing, and in this program actors will get to participate in the process from creation to delivery.
