Professional Showcase Program

“As a Casting Director, I found the Tarlington Showcase to be invaluable. In fact, I had six performers I knew little about, into my room to audition within two days of the show. It bridges beautifully between theatre and film work to allow me to really view the young actors work. The training is obviously excellent as the work by everyone was exemplary. The show delivered a large number of students in a quick, comfortable and easy manner. I will be thrilled to return again.” -Stuart Aikins- Casting Director, Aikins/Cossey Casting

Every year, young actors audition to participate in this three-term acting and auditioning program that develops on-camera acting and auditioning technique, on-set etiquette, blocking and movement, taking direction in a filmed scene (that is later edited and reviewed to evaluate performance), making smart character choices, accessing emotion on camera, analyzing scenario and environment and preparing for our year end Showcase Of Talent — the biggest industry showcase of young actors in Canada.

About the ADVANCED SHOWCASE — requires completion of Showcase program.

Advanced Showcase is a three term program that builds on the work accomplished in Showcase. Actors continue exploring the fundamentals of acting and auditioning for camera.  Emphasis is placed on working to access emotions necessary in more demanding roles along with the techniques vital to a working screen actor.

Actors in this course work together with our professional instructors in the development and production of a short film which is shown as part of the Tarlington Training’s Showcase of Talent.  This hands on training and experience is simply the best!

The Advanced Showcase class takes place on Thursday Evenings from 4:30 till 6:30pm.
